| I am not new to exercise. Usually cardio for like 45 minutes and minimal weight training. FOr the past two months though i have really stepped it up. Weights, kickboxing, step spinning, dancing, everything. (I had an unexplained 5 lb weight gain and i was trying to break out of it) Well, I have seen the scale go up a lb. I know i am suppossed to be patient and everyone says it is muscle, but basically i have gained 6 lbs from my usual weight that will not budge (it is not all muscle). I am getting frustrated, anyone have similiar experience? advice? Btw i count every calorie, 1200 on non workout days about 1400 when i exercise vigorously. Basically follow sbd which had kept me thin until now. getting enough water too! |

From one of your previous posts:
Quote: well this is the third time around on phase 1, just to get refocused (i am bad on wknds) Struggling with the water b/c i have to pee every second! Have also been eating fiber 1 for breakfast to sustain my workouts and keep me regular. so far so good, although have not weighed myself yet. I feel like every time it gets harder and harder to budge the scale and dont want to feel defeated this early. How was your day???
Third time on P1 is like "yo-yoing"..... each time will reap less results.
Also, chances are good that "being bad" on the weekends are where the extra weight is coming from... overall your caloric "intake" is more than likely more than your caloric "output" over the week.....
I'd suggest staying in a clean phase 2, being good on the weekends and keep up the exercise..... |

I don't have enough info to be sure, but if you work out hard all week, keep the cals on the low side, and then binge on the weekend -- your body is basically a fat storing machine and will glom onto those weekend calories with pleasure.
Additionally, if you are that active and that close to your ideal weight, then a big caloric deficit is not going to do much good. I can't lose weight with more than a 100-200 cal deficit. That means if I gain 5lbs it takes me 5-6 months to lose it at my current activity level. Sad but true. |
