Have any of you ladies had a breast lift (or even a breast reduction)? If so, would anyone be willing to share experiences with me here or in PM? I'm thinking about getting the girls pulled up a bit. :)

How old are you? I was thinking that you were pretty young?

LB: I am pretty young. I'm 23. My breasts have sagged since they exploded from pre-pubescent nipple-buds to DD cups within about 2 years. The skin just couldn't rebound from the quick changes, I think. When I was really thin, I was a C cup, and the skin never tightened up from the DD size, so they sagged more. I think my upper breast skin lost a lot of its elasticity there when I was 12-ish and it became just a mass of stretch marks, which behave more like scar tissue than normal skin.

I know if I get a lift, that time will eventually counteract the effect, but having my breasts look like they do now when I'm 60 will be a lot nicer than just continuing to get worse from here.

I'm not having children, therefore I don't have to worry about the effects of pregnancy and nursing on my breasts.

A friend of mine had this procedure several years ago, for much the same reason as you have listed, and is very, very happy with the results. She was done having kids, had been big-chested her whole life, and was tired of the constant backaches, clothing never fitting right, etc., not to mention the, um, headlights pointing to the floor.

She loves shopping for bras now!

Good luck, whatever way you decide.

I talked to my Dr about it, as I have friends who have done it and been thrilled with the results. However, in addition to nursing issues and all that, which are not factors at my lifestage, my doctor told me that much of the erotic sensation is gone for many women after a reduction. For some that won't matter, for others it will. Also, if you have back aches, get rashes, grooves in your shoulders, etc, insurance will sometimes pay for a reduction. Talk to your doctor.

I would actually just be getting a lift rather than a reduction (I'm a D right now and expect to end up a C), so, in theory, sensation should not be much reduced, but it's always a risk. And insurance will not pay. :(

Same here... I've had droppy boobs since I've grown up, the weight gain/loss didn't help at all and I don't even want to think about what it will look like at fifty  I just wish I had the money!!!

I had a lift and a reduction last November. I have lost some sensation but well worth it in my opinion. It is very pricey....mine was $12,000 but a friend had the same procedure done for about $6,000. I paid a lot for the Dr. but would do it over again in a heartbeat!

It was pretty painful for about the first 2 days after that only the sides of my breasts hurt but nothing I couldn't handle. The drugs kept the pain pretty well under control. It itched like crazy once it started to heal.

Good luck if/when you decide to do it!
