All of the popups and adverts are kind of annoying.
Can they be removed?
The board really doesnt cost anything to keep up does it?
How much are the moderators paid? Is that what all of the revenues from the adverts go to? |

Moderators are paid by posts removed which refer to other sites. You have been my biggest money maker to date. |

Here is more of a discussion forum where things can be discussed.
However ... why is there a need for popups and that whole right side of the page with the adverts ... and the top of the page with adverts.
It is really annoying and distracting. And not needed. Just my personal opinion.

I really think this is a bad attitude. i love this board ... I think it is great!! very useful. Just trying to make it better by getting rid of all of the advertisements and popups.
It is sometimes difficult to see which links are SBD related and which ones are adverts.

From the looks of your posts, you are just putting up what I consider nonsense posts to get your sig in front of others.
SO here's a little test, I am removing the links to your other board from your sig. If you love it here at this board so much then you won't mind this little step. If you consider putting the links back in, go back and read the last PM I sent to you.
Keep all your promoting of that site in the correct forum and you will have no problems here. |

All I am saying is that you have the chance to improve this board.
I am challenging you to do it.
Can we ask the people if they like the ads / popups?

Which post? The one about the NFL draft? The one about kids and exercise? The really big important question about having wine on SB???
Have you read the any of the FAQ's???
You can ask about the popups all you want, it's beyond mine, yours and the users control.
If popups bother you all that much get a good browser like Mozilla Firefox and you will not get ANY popups. |

The only thing I edited from your post was the link back to the site you admin on. Reread the two PM's I sent to you, I politely asked you to stop doing that and then I issued you a warning. As far as I am concerned that is strikes one and two.
Whatever problems you have with this site, take it up with the board owner. Again the contact link is at the bottom of each page. |

No you didnt ... you asked me not to post a link that asked for information to my blog on the site but to the promo site ... which I did.
You personally went in and edited my posts and removed links to my blog / journal ...
I dont care ... if that is the way you run you site then so be it ... I am not sure how my sig effects others doing this diet and why you would find a link to my blog / journal to either be detrimental to others doing the diet of somehow offensive.
It seems that you only made a big deal with this when I mentioned my concern about all of the blatent advertising on this site and the popups ...
and it is really funny that the mods here get paid by the posts that they remove.
