THIS is the place to post questions, comments, experiences, and most importantly - ENCOURAGEMENT to one another as we progress through this Challenge!

Weekly logs for exercise/food/etc. (which your Team Captain will use to calculate your weekly points) should be posted in the Logs Thread.

Recipes should be posted in the main Challenge thread. The main Challenge Thread is also where point totals will be posted by your Team Captains each week, so keep an eye on it!

Some things to do as we all prepare for MONDAY:
* Make a post in the Log thread with a blank weekly template (see first post of the Log thread) that you can update with your progress each week
* Decide on your Personal Goal for Week 1 and enter it in your Log post
* Do your weigh-ins so you'll have an official starting weight for Monday!
* Read back through the Challenge guidelines in the main Challenge thread - I've updated/added some info to help clarify some issues - if anything is still confusing please ASK!
* Post in this thread to introduce yourself to your teammates!

GOOD LUCK to everyone!!

Hi Green Team!

My name is Amity and I am just coming off the extreme challenge. I still want to keep myself accountable and am glad we get points this time for eating beachy. It will help me stay clean. My biggest challenge always proves to be getting enough water on the weekends. They tend to be so chaotic bit I will try my best.

I started my WOL 1/8/07 and still going. Past week or two I haven't lost anything and am frustrated. I am going to change my menu around for the upcoming week, as well as eat clean and exercise and hopefully I can overcome this.

I am ready for this and hope you are too! We can do this.

i am also trying to get through all of the information on this challenge. There seem to be lot of threads going on everywhere. Might lose my mind trying.

**UPDATE: I THINK I GOT IT** Phew! :D

Yeah, it's really confusing - and I always thought I'm a bright person

For future reference and easy finding:

Logs ONLY Thread - post goals, exercise plan etc. here
**NEW CHALLENGE** - Spring Fitness - starts April 16 - general challenge thread, signing up for the challenge until Monday, you should also post recipes here

And then there are the team chats green (the one you're in right now), red (the enemy) and yellow (the other enemy) - just for general chit-chat and mutual motivation

Hi All! Pookie here. I've been heading up challenges in here about every month for a year now and decided to take a back seat this time. ;) I'll also be in Africa for the 2nd and 3rd week of the challenge. Darkchocolate said I could join anyways and we'll either a) Won't include me in the average the weeks I'm gone or b) If I can get on the internet and workout there, will still count my points when I'm gone. :)

I love challenges because they keep you accountable to the things that you should already be doing. ;) Sometimes we just need that extra "umph" and others surrounding us letting us know that we can do it and they're doing it too! :D Nice support system. ;)

luvmycritters - I'm not sure what a "co-captain" does, but I can help you in whatever way you need help, answer some questions and encourage others. I probably won't be too vocal week 2 & 3, but I'll be here. :) Let me know what you would like me to help with.

A little about me: 27 year old female, 5' 4", 130ish lbs. Been on the beach for a while (about 3 years). My BF% is 24.7 and I'm looking to lower that to 21% as my first goal. I workout at home with DVD's, elliptical, treadmill and weights. I just got p90x, which is an extreme at-home fitness regime. ;) (You can find it here: www.p90x.com ) I plan on delving into the 12 DVD's to see what they're all about... and starting the actual program with a friend when she gets back from vaca in about 6 weeks.

Welcome GREEN TEAM!!!!!

I am VERY excited to be the Green Team captain! This is my first challenge so I may have some questions for those who have done them before. I'm also thrilled that Pookiebear is the co-captain! I'm sure your experience will come in handy.

Just to let you know, I'm in Washington so I won't be on here as early as some of you. I do try to check my messages at night before bed so if anyone needs anything or has questions just let me know.

You guys are awesome already! We've got log posts from most of the team and the challenge hasn't even started yet!!!!

I stole kathi's idea in the Weekly Log thread and used bold and green on my log. It's easy to do and would be great if all the green team did it. It'll make us stand out and also makes it easier for me to find everyone's logs. All you need to do is edit your post, highlight the entire post, click on bold and select green in the color pull-down tab.

Now if I could only figure out what I did wrong on my journal link. :?

Hey green team! I feel like this is going to be a great experience already: my FAVE color is GREEN!

My name is April, 26 y.o. (will be 27 in 2.5 wks). female, and 5'3". I've tried the SB woe on and off for 2.5 years. The times I kept it up, I was VERY successful. But it always seemed life got in the way  , doesn't even seem like a good reason anymore. Well, that way of thinking is headed out the door and I'm ready to be successful again.

I'm starting at my highest weight ever, so that's some encouragement, huh? I'm not starting P1 over, because I don't feel like I need to, so I'm starting a slow P2.

It's great to meet all of you and can't wait to meet the rest still to come! I'm so excited!!!

Hi Teamies (or should that be Greenies?)

I'm 31, 5' 6" and I was addicted to these challenges a few months ago. Then after Christmas it all fell apart and I gained back lots
I am ready to get in shape and eat clean again.

I'll go update my log.

WELCOME to all the members of the GREEN TEAM! We are going to do awesome and kick the other teams BOOTIES!

We've got an awesome team so far and might pick up some more great members tomorrow. I can't wait to get started because I am excited! I can just tell that we are going to do great, lose lots, exercise, and eat healthy!

A little more about me. We just move half way across the country and are still adjusting to our new life out west. I'm an animal lover and plan to open my pet sitting business in the next couple weeks. I also have 2 wonderful kids that keep me on my toes. I'm 5'5" and at my highest non-preg weight of 180 when I started a few weeks ago. Sadly I didn't lose much at all during P1 even though I was very good and didn't cheat. It's time to change that!

I've taken up a new obsession, bicycling! I'm planning to ride my first metric century June 23rd which means I HAVE to get on my bike and ride. At the end of this challenge I should be putting on over 170 miles per week. WOW, that has got to make a difference in my legs and rear don'tcha think?

I'm going to hang out, watch a little TV tonight, and celebrate the fact I got my taxes done today with a glass of red wine. Tomorrow the work begins!

GOOD MORNING GREENIES!!!
cute idea Lia

I am so excited and motivated about this fitness challenge!!! Everyone needs to watch out because the Green Wave is rollin into 1st place!

I wanted to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Tammy, I'm 31 and a SAHM (thank you Ms. Katrina) I'm 5'6, 177 lbs and wear a size 14. I'm refocused and determined to regain my pre baby body. I started SB again on 2/08/07. Did well in Phase 1, lost about 8 lbs. Since then the weight loss has pretty much stalled. So in an extreme attempt to lose this flab I have given up my wine-thirty!!! :o :o So, If I gave up my glass of wine, then this girl is really in a zone!!

I am so looking forward to getting to know my fellow GREENIES. The last week of the challenge, I will be on vacation. However, that will not stop me. There are plenty of ways to exercise! I'll just have to watch the wine!! Enough from me. Have a great day!!

GOOD MORNING GREEN TEAM!!

I hope everyone is excited about starting the challenge today! I'm going to be swimming by the time I drink 80 oz of water. LOL

Make sure you post your log on the Weekly Logs thread with your starting weight and first week goals. Remember you don't need to worry about the points, just updating your log at the end of the week.

Does anyone have a major goal they'd like to post here? Kinda the main reason for doing the challenge?

My major goal is to complete my first metric century bicycle ride on June 23rd and feel comfortable wearing biking shorts.  I also have a lot of jeans that don't fit but I REFUSE to buy any more!!!

Good morning to Day 1 GREENIES!

What a crappy weekend in PA with the storm...SNOW in APRIL???

Anyway, I'm really glad for this challenge. Started SBD about 5 weeks ago. Lost 7.5 the first 10 days, then most of the weight crept back. This seems to be my "M.O." when starting SBD, and probably other WOE I've tried in the past. But, the difference this time is I just stuck to it, didn't give up and the scale is moving in the right direction. Still not back to that 7.5 loss, but it will come. I have a stack of clothes in my closet that haven't fit for 2-3 years so I'd REALLY like to get back in to them. THEN, if i keep losing to get to my final goal, THEN I can go shopping for new clothes!!!

Lora, sorry, don't have an answer to your url question...don't you just copy and paste?

YAY!! just finished my taxes!!!
Good luck everyone...I'm off to post my first log.
