No problem Jerseygirl!!
Okay everyone, I seriously am still alive, but this getting-online-regularly thing is just so much harder now!
I moved out of the dorm and am back at my parents house. The only computer with internet is in my mother's room, and she goes to bed really early... I'm planning on getting my own apt. in a couple months, so it's not worth the bother of setting up wireless internet here so I can use my own computer.
Plus, I've just started a new job, with full time hours (it's just a temp thing, nothing exciting, but it's money!), so I don't even have the energy for interneting. :)
I've been packing SB-friendly lunches & snacks for workdays, which has been something new, but works out well! And it's really easy to get in the 64oz water when there's an easily accessible water bubbler thingy at work. Hooray!
The one thing I've been slacking on is exercise. Grrrrrr. I've gone out running a couple mornings, and went to the gym once, and that's about it. I have my 2nd 5K race on Sunday.... ha! Yeah, we'll see how that goes. :) The next one after that is in 3 weeks, and THAT race is "running only" - these other two have been Run/Walks. So I'm DEFINITELY going to have to buckle down and do some training, as I'm afraid as of now I would be in danger of finishing last without having the walkers behind me!
Some of that would have made more sense posted to the Cto5K thread (or the Runner's thread!?), but I'm only on for a few minutes and just wanted to blurt everything out at once. :)
Oh, and I officially lost 4lbs during the first 5 weeks of this challenge! Wooo :)
My 5th high school reunion is this weekend! I hadn't been planning on going, but recently decided to. I was shopping for a dress (to wear on the Saturday night Dinner Cruise - lobster dinner!), and the craziest thing happened - basically EVERY dress I tried on I thought looked awesome. It was so ridiculous, normally dress shopping is MISERABLE! My hips are a few sizes larger than my top, so dress shopping is always hard... I tend to go for stretchy things that will at least *look* like they fit most everywhere. But everything just seemed to "work" which was a first... SO nice to see all this hard work has some real results!
So my main goal for this weekend is to be as Beachy as possible. Fortunatey lobster itself is beachy... melted butter, not so much. I'll do what I can to limit the butter :) There are also a few other meals and things over the course of the weekend.... so we'll just see how it goes! I'll check back in a few days! (I haven't been updating my log at all, but I've been keeping track of things on paper this week...eventually I'll update it!)
Hope alll is well with the Red Team! |
