| I'm not sure you'll find one that is very accurate for calories. All of those are based on formulas taking into account things like age, weight, sex and # of steps taken. Problem is, most pedometers can't tell the difference between a "I'm shopping and taking 1 step at a time to look at the clothes" vs a "I'm walking at 4 mph and huffing and puffing". So, if you accumulate 10,000 steps (daily recommended amount) it could be "hard" or "easy" steps and in both cases your calorie report will be the same. Personally, I think one is better off using some on-line calculators for their exercise expenditure and wear a pedometer to try to get to 10,000 steps b/c humans were meant to move and not sit on their butts all day! :) |
