Some people just don’t get it. My 89 year old Mother-In-Law, DMIL, is staying with us for the weekend. She made the comment when I came home this morning from doubling up at the gym, “what are you trying to accomplish by going to gym so much, why don’t you relax and enjoy yourself.” I tried to tell her I go to the gym ‘so much’ now because I enjoy it.” I love doubling up for the feeling of doing BodyPump and then doing BodyStep afterwards. It is a high that lasts and lasts.
The real funny part is that when my DW and DMIL were leaving to go shopping, I heard her say to my DW that she “should go to the gym and see what or who is the attraction!” Well if it gets my DW into the doors of the gym, I am for it… |

Your DMIL sounds like a priceless jewel!
I say, good for you. I think you're very inspirational to us 50-something youngsters. |

See, you are WAY nicer than I. I would tell her, if it's a choice between going to the gym or staying here with you, I would always choose the gym! Then duck and run! Of course, you are so fit, they could never catch you! :)
Keep it up, OGB! You impress the heck out of me! I hope when I am 60 I am still going to the gym regularly. That's the plan, anyway! :D |

It's the passion that I love, Bob, your excitement about what you are doing is infectious! |

I think some people, especially "older" might just feel this way because during their time, the gym and working out was nothing like it is now.
My mom cant figure out why im getting so thin and why id want that, and my inlaws think ill never last without wings/pasta ect.... |
