Jams - I made fun of cross? I might have once stated someone else's opinion, but I'm cross neutral :) Cross is well beyond my abilities though - I can't unclip my left foot unless I'm stopped :)
I will not do a crit for the same reason as stated above. Maybe I'll try a RR this season. I'd like to find few female racers just to see how they ride before doing it though... I'm still scared of them packing up the finish line before I get there! |

| Nah -- you're unclipped well before the barriers -- it's getting clipped back in that I worry about. Come do Tour of the Hilltowns. :D |

16 miles yesterday, legs feel good but boy is my rear sore! I've got to look into getting padded bike shorts and a better saddle. What was real fun is dd (11) went with me and she was beat. She's very active and athletic so I was thrilled that I kept up with her.
I'm really enjoying this and getting addicted fast. :P I don't think I'll be ready for those hills any time soon though Jams. I can find routes here that go over some pretty good hills but I don't plan on taking them for a while yet.

If they don't kill you!
Jams, other than cycling, is searching out interesting new avatars a special interest of yours? |

Hey, I wasn't insulting your leg! You still had the smiley face thingy up, carnival ride seat?
It's WINDY here today. I still plan to do my 10 miles this evening but I hope it calms down a little. The blowing dirt is going to reek havok with my allergies!

| Back on topic, and away from Jams calf, the only way to get over hill-fear is to start riding them. Find a couple of smaller ones and try to incorporate them into a route, and progress from there. You may never love them, but you'll get better on them. |
