Good lord! That's a heck of a thing for a doctor to say to a patient.

If a doctor ever said that to me, I'd be like, "Ok, its official-- You are not allowed near me with anesthetics, or anything sharp..."

I have a suggestion. Take your thyroid at bedtime. You don't have to worry about meals, and some people feel you metabolize it better while you're asleep.
