I really do. I had a good strength workout this morning and it just made me feel very strong. I noticed the other day while lugging stuff up from the basement that I have gained quite a bit of strength. My job was to haul stuff up the stairs and I handed it off to DH to take to the garage. I'm not saying what I hauled up was easy, but each time DH took what I had it was with a big old "humph". I finally said "Impressed?" He said "very." LOL! I don't think he's as amused as I am.
All of my weight machines can be increase by 1 lb, which is pretty much what I do every session. On the leg lift machine, I was at 119 pounds. When I went to increase my target by 1 lb, I noticed it jumps to 125!! I've hit a new category. It goes from plate 110 plus little 1 pound weights to 125!! I've never increased by SIX pounds before, so my next session should be interesting. And the plates now read 125, 140, 155 so they are increasing by 15 not 10. That means after ten 1 lb increases, I'll have to jump by 6 again. :? I'm not sure what I'll do.
And I am bench pressing 64 lbs!! Guys, I know you think that is pitiful, but for a woman, that's pretty good!
Oh, one more thing. I did 24 push-ups on the bosu this morning! |

Eye of the Tiger is music in on of my favorite tracks in BodyPump. The bicep track in release 58 or 59. Good strenght music! Working out in a class full of women weight lifters rocks too! |

I love that song! LOL! It can be my theme song anytime!
Of course you may cry to hear me say I used to sing it at the top of my lungs as a ripe old 6 year old. |

This specific gym was the epitome of stereotypes.
Lots of guys with big guts, broad shoulders, and thick necks grunting with each rep. One personal trainer honestly shaped with the perfect V of one of my kids' action figures. A few folks trying to get into shape not knowing there were probably better gyms not too far away. And a woman who surely could have kicked my *ss. |
