Hey everyone. Just wondering if anyone who's gone through the whole pregnancy ordeal has successfully gotten rid of that post baby pooch. I've been doing 30-40 minutes of cardio (mostly running, I really sweat the whole time) 4 times a week. I do 100+ crunches about 5 days a week. I do the on your back lift the legs pilates exercise (don't know if I'm explaining that right) all trying to get rid of this lower tummy fat. Before a few days ago I was trying to stick to under 1500 calories but now I'm on P1 of the SBD. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm really trying to get rid of this and get my old body back!

Thanks! :D

You are doing all the right things!

My "babies" are a bit older than yours  ( 17 and 21). After the oldest, my body just seemed to bounce right back. My second pregnancy was twins (each weighing close to 7 pounds at delivery). They did a number on my tummy!! :D .... I was afraid it would never look right..

I've been a runner for 13 years (usually 6 days a week) and also do strength training ( 3 -4 x a week).....

I have the very "smallest" of pooches, barely noticeable.
Exercise (and remember you can't spot reduce) like cardio is a great all-over fat burner, strength training, pilates, crunches.... those will help you tone..... Exercise also helps your skin retain (and even gain) elasticity, so it is not so "baggy".

A stability ball is a great piece of equipment to have to work on "Core Strength" (especially good for crunches).. I also workout on one 3 - 4 x weekly. (here's a 15 minute beginner workout from Sparkpeople if you are interested)

Just keep up the good work!

Thanks luvs_torun! Twins, wow! It is just so encouraging to hear that it's actually possible. I'll just keep it up, maybe increase my cardio to 5 or 6 days a week, that might help. Hopefully SBD will help too. I'm not sure if I've lost any yet, certainly not seeing it but I'm trying to wait to weigh in until it's been a whole week.
