Why are some of the sections too wide?

Many of the sections are so wide that I have to scroll sideways to see all the content, and I use a 20" monitor. Very annoying.

What causes this and can it be fixed?

Links please, most times it is caused by photos or www links added into post.

Links? It's the main page of every forum. Main, Phase 1, Phase 2... every single one. Looks to me like the message topic column is simply too wide since it takes up three-quarters of my screen width.

Maybe this is some kind of read error on my end. Any special settings I could change in IE, or some plug-in I need?

Are you talking about all the ads and links on the right hand side? There is nothing the moderators can do. You would have to take that up with the site owner.

I have a 14" laptop display. The only thing I can't see is the ads off to the right on those pages. All the relevant info is displayed. It was far worse when the ads were on the left and all the good info went off to the right. ;)

I can't even see the ads on the right side without scrolling. Basically, I can see all the columns except the "Last Post" which is cut in half. I have to scroll to see it and to get to the little navigation numbers and the "next page" link.

Once I get into a topic, it's all visible. Only the main forum page is messed up.

If nobody else has complained, then it must be my problem.

I see what you mean. I guess I've just gotten used to it. It all used to fit much better before the sys admin put in the ads on the right. It was sized properly to fit standard displays. A lot of it got discombobulated when the ads were put in. Nobody liked them. But since the sys admin controls the page format and uses the ad revenue to presumably keep the site running, there really isn't much we can do about it.

Thanks redrox. I guess I'll just get used to it.
Guess the joke's on them since I can't see the ads.
