I went to Golds Gym for a couple weeks (my husband and I travel for his work so i cant buy a months pass since we never know how long well be in one place) and thought it was an awesome gym. THey had everything. Id first get a free trial. Theyll let you go once for free if you ask. I did this to make sure that i liked the gym. Once you know if you like it or not then decide how often you will go.
Most gyms offer different packages. I think that the monthly, 3 month or yearly contracts are obviously the best value but if you arent sure if you want to slap down that much money when you dont even know if the gym is for you, do a week. At the golds gym i went to i got a weeks pass for like $26 and they should even have a drop in fee if you think youll only go once or twice a week. I think it would be like $10.
I think that a gym membership is a great investment in yourself, there are classes you can take, instructors to help you build a program and like-minded people to help you along the way. but id take it slow and not buy a years membership if you arent 100% into the gym yet. |

Backhoegirl thanks
well i am thinking the same so i will go tommorrow and see what all durations can they offer..
i went in january this year and they said that you have to have a year membership.
I cant have that as in Oct i will be starting with my job and i will be moving out and as my job will be of that of a consultant i dont know if i can carry on gymming at that time..so i am looking for something like 3-6 months contract..
anyways thanks for your advice.. will keep it in mind. |

| Just an FYI when you have a gym membership... My health insurance actually pays me to go... If I'm not mistaken, I get $300.00 every 6 months. They're basically paying me to keep in shape and stay healthy. A smart move, really... |

| ...I have Oxford.. But I've had other plans that did this in the past.. It's either $600.00 for the year or $300.00.. I forget. But I'm leaning toward $300.00... |
