I noticed the same thing (if we are talking about peeing) when i increased my water intake. I was drinking a cup of herbal tea at night to make sure i got it all in. My solution was to have the tea before 9 pm. If I do that I have enough time to get it all out before I go to sleep. If not I also wake up 2-3 times and just don't sleep well.

Hope that helps.

you should have a physical every year anyway....

but getting up to pee once a night in my opinion is not a huge problem or concern. sometimes i have to do it more than once and i'm old.

yes, i meant peeing, i am 30 yrs only.

i wake up almost every night to pee , becoz i feel the bladder full in the middle of the night.

Skinny , what is the herbal tea? is it green tea ? does it help in sleeping without the bladder becoming full ?

No, it's just mint tea, or chamomile, I just drink it cause I'm not so good at getting all my water in during the day (Although there is debate on whether tea counts as water but it works for me). But of course the more I drink, the more I pee....... I'm just saying I try not to drink it right before bed or I will keep going.... and going..... and going..... much like the Energizer Bunny

Try to stop drinking too much water in the evening or to stop at a certain time (maybe like one, two or three hours before going to bed). I also make sure that my last trip to the bathroom is RIGHT BEFORE I jump in my bed. It works for me, I usually wake up in the morning and really feel my bladder is full but it don't wake me up in the night!

I stop drinking water or anything else 2-3 hours before going to bed, and I go to bathroom right before I go to sleep. That helps me thru the night. But if I drink even 1 glass of liquids before sleep I have to go to bathroom during the night.

These days if I don't get up at least once I simply assume I did not drink enough water the day before. I have come to expect that I will be up at least once a night. Last night I did not get up and I KNOW I did not drink as much water as I have been drinking every day for the last month.

I try not to drink too much after 7pm. Typically I'll drink 2+ litres of water a day. I'll usually finish one litre by lunch time and another in the afternoon and then maybe a few glasses after that.

So then I don't have to go for a wee during the night. I'd hate that.

My problem is more during the day. If I go out to eat I usally have to pee right after the meal and if I've had more water even twice. I'm sure people think I'm weird or have some sort of problem :?

Let's talk about peeing!! OMG>>> I used to go only once at night, maybe not at all. That was BEFORE SBD. Once I started SBD, I can now expect to get up 3-4 times a night. And boy, does it piss me off! LOL

But THEN I discovered what was going on. My body was burning off fat. When our bodies are in ketosis, as mine usually is, we burn off fat and it comes out in our pee and poo AND our breath! So hey, peeing is LOSING! That's the way I see it.

I also have increased my water to 8 glasses a day, more than I can stand. I quit drinking water around 6 pm so I won't have to get up so much at night. But STILL, I am getting up a couple of times despite not drinking after 6 pm. I just tell myself it's the fat coming out! And it MUST be, since I lost nearly 40 lbs in the last 4 months!
