Just motivation for me. A before picture.

I'm doing this as a motivator to myself. Even though this isn't a true Before & After (it's more of a before, when I was thinner, and after, right now), it will be in a month or so.

So, don't mind me! 8)

This is when I was 15, after I lost about 50 pounds (I was always a fat kid) and I was about 155:

And this is a couple of months ago at the weight I am now (it reminds me of when I was a fat kid- I look just like when I was 10 :? ). I put the 50 pounds back on: :|

It's tough to get a full body shot because I'm in a wheelchair now (car accident). Which is also why it was so easy to put back on the weight.

HI!! I hope you don't mind that i took a look at your pics (it is a public forum). Welcome to SB!!!
My hubby has Cerebral Palsy. He was 7 when he started walkign, then at age 13, he was in a car accident and was in acoma for 8 days (along with other things)- as you can imagine, that kinda set him back walking wise. He had to totally re- learn how to do everything. Now, he uses an electric w/c for long distances, and is working on walking short distances more, as he was just diagnosed w/ osteoporosis (he's 33, but it can happen at any age) due to lack of exercise, so him walking more will be good.
If you don't mind my asking, how do you weigh yourself? Do you have a scale that you can get your wheelchair on to, or what?
If you ever want to chat with me, feel free. You can visit my journal if you'd like, too!!
I have my pics posted on this forum too, but none of them have my hubby in them (yet). Come by and see them if you'd like!!
Looking forward to seeing some 'After' pics!!!

YOu can do this!!!!

I don't mind at all! I just didn't want people to feel obligated to comment on my pics. I mean, I thought it would be a good idea to keep me on track. To put my pumpkin head out there to see what I can do about it on the Beach. :D

Weighing is a little more difficult than usual. Only because I have to go to a local hospital (to the rehab floor) for their wheelchair scale. I've weighed the wheelchair and so I subtract that number (about 47 lbs.) from what I weigh in it on the scale.

I try to go up there about every 2 weeks or so. They're nice about it. The nurses just let me go do my thing and leave, lol.

I kinda thought it would be something like that.(I used to work in a group home, and we had to weigh the residents once a month (to monitor weight loss/gain)- even the ones in wheelchairs (but I don't really remember how we did it- it was a couple years ago, and I only worked there 3 months). That's awesome that you have a hopital close enough to do that, and that the nurses are cool about it!!

The "trouble" you have to go through to get weighed just shows that you are a resourceful fighter. Cute smile too. Keep at it. Best of luck.
