I found the same thing when I first started, then one say I had a diet soda and got my energy back. I think that since the body usually gets energy from carbs and caffeine, it takes a while for you to transition to get energy from just protein. Caffeine is in carbs too, so you feel tired (and in my case grumpy). So, now I drink diet iced tea, diet soda, hot caffeinated tea with splenda, etc. whenever I feel energy-less. |

Did you need a shovel to dig up this post? :)
Anyway, you should limit caffeine, as it may stimulate your appetite. Part of this diet is about feeling better, and not using other things to make you feel better. If you eat correctly, you'll feel better, and have more energy.
The best cure for lack of energy on p1 is to make sure you are getting good carbs in -- beans and dairy (and of course, veggies) can help. |
