Hey teamies!!! I just wanted to thank you all for being a part of this challenge and of this team.

So, you joined an extreme challenge, huh? Cool. What does that mean to you? To me, the word "extreme" means: more than normal, more than average and above and beyond. It's doing something or experiencing something that isn't normal to you and most others.

The "rules" of this challenge are extreme enough ;) but I plan on following (most of) the "Body for Life" exercise plan and the "Burn the Fat; Feed the Muscle" way of eating. I plan on logging all my food to see that I'm getting the correct percentages of proteins, fats and carbs for my exercise intensity. I plan on having 2 higher calorie days and 1-2 cheat meals/week to keep my body guessing. I'm looking forward to trying out a new recipe each week and very excited about drinking my water everyday!

I'm very pumped to be your leader and if you have ANY questions about anything - ask away!

YEah!!! I'm on Pookies team again!! Pookie you have been such a great help to me answering my endless lists of questions. But I have learned so much in the last challenge and am so looking for ward to the Extreme one!! My body may hate me for a little while but I can't wait to see and feel the results after pushing myself like this. :)

SBDGirl007

Hey everybody! I'm excited to start this new X-Treme challenge, and lose the weight!

Pooks, I'm happy to be on your team again! (I was on your team for Jumpstart January, but Kirian's for the February one...)

Good luck everybody!

For me, the hardest part is going to be the water consumption... I have been drinking about 2 liters a day, just in anticipation of this challenge, but that's still not enough. I know I can do it, though.

BeachyNut

Water will be tough for me too - I have not been consistent with it - BUT I will be now..... have to get those team points!!!

I am looking forward to the extra workouts and know that the pounds that are just stuck sitting here will start to move!

GO POOKIES!!!

Hi teamies!!

I can't say it better than pookie - Quote: I plan on following (most of) the "Body for Life" exercise plan and the "Burn the Fat; Feed the Muscle" way of eating.

I am also following this plan for the duration of the challenge. The only thing missing I think from here is that we are getting our body fat percent checked at the beginning and end of the challenge. I am starting the challenge at 25% and my first goal is 20% followed by what I think is a final goal of 18%.

I have been getting enough water in this last week, but keeping that up especially during the weekends is pretty tough for me!

I love trying new recipes so post any recipe ideas that you guys love!

Today i will be finalizing my plan in regards to food for the week and probably go grocery shopping to stock up!

Good luck everyone!

Ah yes, Body Fat % - How could I forget? ;) I got mine checked in Oct. and was 26%. I got it checked again last week and I was 24.7% It's going down! And my goal is to get a lower number by the end of 6 weeks. (I don't belong to a gym, but I just went to a random gym and got my BF% checked. My birthday is in March and I asked for a BF scale - so next time I check, hopefully it'll be from home!!!)

country bumpkin, need it gone, SBDGirl007, BeachyNut, AbramsAM ~ So glad to have you all on my team!!!! I feel some serious competition comin' on!!!

We start tomorrow!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

Everyone got a plan? Their exercise days planned out? Went grocery shopping? Planning to stay active in the threads? Got your water bottles ready and waiting?

It's honestly a lot to "keep up with". It really is. But in reality, I KNOW we can do this. Those of you who are looking for extreme results - I'm sure you weren't doing all of this before ;) so the combination of everything together - I have no doubt will bring dramatic change!

If not all of our team posts in here by tomorrow, let's go track 'em down in their journals! :D This is a team effort! We're all on board!

CHALLENGE HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

queenoftheu

I'm here! I'm here! I'm here!

You don't have to track me down :D

I'm absolutely thrilled to be doing this! I'm a little nervous about the water consumption, but I can do it! I'm also not looking forward to what the tape measure is going to say

I think this is going to be fantastic. As I've been telling all of the naysayers this past week, it's 42 days. 42 days to see what kind of difference I can make. If I can't spend 42 days really trying to get more healthy, then I deserve to be a chunk butt!

I'm ready to do this! I'm going to make my meal plans at work today (thank goodness it's slow!), and I'm going grocery shopping after work. Tomorrow morning, I'm going to pick up my tape measure, and I think I'll get my nails done. I think that will be my treat for taking this whole project on. Can't be frustrated when I have pretty nails 8)

Hi All! So excited to be on this team....GO POOKIES!

After the body fat % talk I thought I would check mine out on my scale....not sure how accurate they are (mine is a Tanita). That was depressing....it said 39%!!! Ouch! I will check it again tomorrow and then have a comparison for the end of the challenge.

Journaling will be my challenge....just remembering to do it. Is it ok to do it the following morning? That is the best time for me if that's ok. Everything else shouldn't be too difficult. I have so many recipes already printed out to try!

Good Luck to everyone and feel free to stop by my journal to give me a nudge! :)

need it gone

I cannot wait to see what this does for my body!! Today we went up to Door County and took a walk through a state park to see the ice and caves in the winter time. It was beautiful!! We were on top of over 6 feet of ice looking out over Lake Michigan. I took a bunch of pictures and am going to check those out later. I didn't even get winded climbing up and down the ice...I amazed myself. :)

So I bought a Prevention cardio tape and did both 30 minute sessions tonight. Oh man I need to learn these moves. :P I was laughing at myself in the living room trying to keep up with her. So now I have a mixture of cardio to pick from and depending on my mood that day I will see which one I feel like. :)

Plus I bought a water dispenser!!! Woo Hoo!! I am so excited, I just need to go ad get the 5 gallon bottle for it and I will be all set. I have absolutely no problem getting in over 120 ounces of water during the week, the water dispenser is right next to my desk and I keep refilling a 20 ounce bottle. The weekends are harder because I can't stand the taste of our tap water here. Yucky, so I splurged on myself and bought the dispenser. One more way for me to get healthier. :)

So good luck teamies...let's see how we can change our bodies!!!
