Hi meemoo

you probably are above averge, according to some of the numbers
I am not sure how they measure some of the categories you mentioned, but some of the numbers look weird, so I won't trust them very much

For example, unless you are doing something veyr wrong when you train (I don't think so), scoring so low in abdominal strength and good on push ups are not compatible (you need to engage your core when you do them)

Also, the body fat percentage is unusually low for a woman (and don't take it wrong, you need that fat), a helthy number for a woman is 20-25%, but again that depends how they measured it, if you used those apparatus that send a small current they are veyr innacurate (although they are good for tracking changes, but not absolute numbers)

"Trunk flexibility" is a weird category, how did they measure it (your trunk, eg spine shouldn't be thta flexible)

But give yourself a pat in the back, it seems like you are very fit!!

Thanks Lupe, I explained a couple of the things a little more in detail in my post on the Fitness Forum. The flexibility test was sitting straight legged and reaching out and measuring, which, personally, I think is the least flexible position on a person. I'm much more flexible in lots of other positions.

I thought so, that's a typical felxibility test, and is not trunk, is lower back, but mostly legs (think hamstrings and even inner/outter thighs). A lot of people score low on this one. If you can touch the floor when bending foward from a standing position I wouldn't be concerned.

That's what I thought. I even commented to the "girl" (granted she was doing her internship, but she seemed soooo young!) that it was mostly hamstrings that were doing the work.

Hi everyone

Hope it has been a great week!!

Can't believe tomorrow is Friday and almost the end of week 6!

I was really busy this week, but I did all my exercise, even though I couldn't get to aerobics 2 times!! GRRR

I am looking forward to ending this challenge strong and move into the next big challenge--just another challenge closer to my cruise!!!!

Have a great nite!

Well, team, it's Friday!! Our challenge is coming to a close in 2 days! I can't believe it has been 6 weeks! It has flown by! I hope to see some good things in the way of measurements on Sunday.

I have not eaten any sugar since Wednesday in preparation for DH's birthday celebration tonight. We are going here for dinner. I have heard it is one of the two nice restaurants in town (and we have a coupon for a free entree, how can we pass?) I haven't decided what I will order yet. I know they have monthly themed menus and I'm kind of waiting to see what else they have tonight. My goal is to have all my water down by dinner tonight. I'm not a big water or soda drinker (or anything else for that matter since I don't drink) at restaurants (I guess I don't want to get full on the cheapest thing there!).

I just got done doing the C25K Week 1 Workout 2 and I feel great! I guess I will go eat breakfast and let my 4 year old finish his show before I do yoga. Hope you all have a great day! Let's finish strong through this weekend!!

Hi everyone!!

Can you beleive the challenge ends tomorrow???!!

This has been a great 6 weeks for me--I am really happy I decided to do this. I am going to do my measurements and post them tomorrow--I started doing that on the 15th of every month in my journal--so when I put them back to back it is nice to see the changes.

Meemoo!~ Hi co-captian!!! ((WAVES))
I am really glad we get to do the next challenge together!! This is going to keep me motivated for my last 30 days till my trip--In fact we are leaving in 29 days!!!! Actually we fly out in 29 days but our cruise begins on 14 May!!!

Most all of my dresses fit great--I tried on 3 more size 8s and they fit really nicely! I may not have to go shopping after all!! (Yeah right)

TOday we are cleaning the house (a disaster), grocery shopping and I am going to the gym. Then DH's boss is having dinner at her house--so I have no idea what is on the menu--I was not planning a "non beachy"day, but we'll have to see how it goes.

RJS~ How was your vacation??
Lupe~ Are you leaving for Paris this week or next week?
TMG~ Ready for Vegas??

Have a great day!

I am leavign for Paris next friday, and work is crazy right nowm trying to get as much done as possible before I leave.
I don't think my measurments have changed at all, have to see, in any case I don't really want to loose. However I've stopped the junk eating frenzy I was into bfore the challenge, which would have lead to more inches for sure, and I am doing more cardio than usual. I'll take a break during my trip, although I know I will be doing tons of walking.

Is there a challenge starting again? I probably miss the beggining, so I may have to wait until the followign one.
otter, good luck with the dinner, don't stress too much about it, just make sure you don't go hungry, have some fruit and yogurt before

Have to go to the gym!!!

Tits McGee

I was stuck at work for ungodly hours last week due to a co-worker's daughter's emergency surgery. Eating wasn't great and I only was able to work out once! :( I went shopping yesterday and filled the fridge with SBD foods and I will keep plugging away until Vegas!!! :)

I'm Baaaaaack! :D Sorry I haven't been in touch, but I was away on vacation last week and didn't have access to a computer.

Unfortunately, that also means I didn't have access to all of this wonderful encouragement and support . . . so I wasn't very successful at sticking to my plan! I get so mad at myself when I stray so much. And it really makes me mad 'cuz I feel so much better -- both physically and emotionally -- when I eat right and work out. Well, I'm going to try to view it as a learning experience and get back on that wagon again.

Kirian, I promise to get my stats updated as soon as I can. Sorry for the delay!

I know the Extreme Challenge is over, but I just wanted to tell you all again how much I enjoyed "getting to know you" and how proud I am of ALL of you for your hard work and dedication. You were great teammates! Continued success to you all and I hope to check in on you periodically in your journals!
