| I am experiencing something very strange and wondered if anyone else has had the same problem. I started my period and it won't stop. It usually lasts about 3 days-I'm now on day 8! I've been reading a lot of terrible things about Splenda and one woman had the same trouble, along with a whole lot of other side effects (she was consuming large amounts). I only have a couple of packets a day. Anyone else having difficulties? :cry: |

| No, but when I use splenda, I get TERRIBLE stomach cramps, and I notice hair loss...once I stopped using it, I'm no longer having those troubles. It depends on your body. I personally choose not to use artificial sweeteners because I feel that they are not good for you. It's a personal choice. |

If it persists I would see your doctor..are you on phase 1?? when i was one phase 1 i got a "period" in the middle of my cycle. I think its just the drastic changes your body is undergoing. I was concerned and went to my doctor and she didnt seem to think it was cause for concern. It is normally caused by stress, and completely changing your eating habits is a stress.
I use Splenda and it is made from sugar so i think its a better choice. I wouldnt say im a heavy consumer but i use it daily and have seen no differences. |

| I was actually in phase 1 when I started (now in phase 2) but I'm also on birth control pills which made it even more weird that I started right in the middle of taking my pills! It did occur to me, like you said, that it was just the drastic change. I'm going to lay off the Splenda for a couple of days just in case. I had planned on talking to my DRs office if it lasted longer than today. Thanks for the information! |

| Hey Coconut Im also on birth control and very regulated by it and that was why i was upset as well. I thought...miscarriage?? hemorrhaging?? what!?! but turned out to just be stress. I hope the same is true for you |
