Nobody is immune to come down with a cold or flu this time of the year.
I would suggest you take it easy.
Sleep as much as you can.
Cancel all engagements you might have, just concentrate on getting well.
Avoid complications, like the cold becoming pneumonia or bronchitis.
Drink plenty of water, fluids like herbs tea, chicken and beef broth, and Crystal lemonade, even some Gatorade to get your electrolytes back.
I suggest you drink at least a sip of water every time you go to the bathroom.
Buy some broth that's already made like Swanson broth, it comes in chicken, beef and vegetarian. You just get what you want, just heat it up, and close the container back and keep it in the refrigerator for the next time.
Or add some veggies and make it into semi-homemade veggie soup.
Or buy some veggie soups like Progresso brand; even lentil soup would be OK if you like lentils.
You might want to add some Shirataki noodles to your soup; those are Japanese noodles and are OK in all phases.
Take whatever you take for pain and fever. Maybe call your doctor for some advise on that, especially if you take some other meds.
Don't forget to take your regular meds as well as multi-vitamins.
Don't worry about following this diet as it is right now. Concentrate on getting well soon.
When you feel like eating again, then have some chicken and rice or whatever comfort food you like.
THEN WHEN YOU'RE HEALTHY AGAIN, get back on the program.
I understand how you feel, I almost never get sick and when I get sick I just panic.
Wishing fast recovery  |
