okay, I finally figured out how to do this, so here goes...
The first one was May 2006, 6 months before I started SB-
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"></a>
This second one was June of 2006, about 5 months before i started SB. I'm the one in the brown blouse that's 'bursting at the seams'... Of course, that means I'm the tallest, as well as the youngest.
My mom is the one one on the other end, with the sunglasses... the other two are cousins of mine.
Ye,s we are in a cemetery- we were there for my grandma's memorial, and wanted to visit where she's buried.
More will be coming shortly (and none of them will involve a cememtery, I PROMISE!!!) ...

This one I took the day I started SB. I had just bought those pants, too, and wasn't happy with them because they are 2x's and are rather cheap and not the best quality
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"></a>
This one is a side view of the previous one. sorry for the flash 'problem'- I learned the hard way that taking a picture w/ flash in front of a mirror doesn't work-sorry!!
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"></a>
This one was early Dec 2006- I think these are the same pants as in the Oct. pic.
<a href="http://photobucket.com" target="_blank"></a>
This one was taken three days ago- 2/19/2007- down 17 lbs!! These are the same pants as in the Oct. 06 pics, and the same shirt as in the June 06 pic. I know you can't see the shirt well, but it is starting to fit better. I will take another picture in it some time in the future.

this is another one I took three days ago-2/19/2007
These are some shorts I bought the day before froma a thrift store. They are size 18's. I 'm not sure how well you can see them, but they are very tight around my tummy/ waist area. I hope to be able to wear them comfortably this summer, especially at my family reunion in June (and the afore mentioned cousins will be there)

FYI, I have hypothyroidism (which means along with a ton of other things, a slow metabolism, and a hard time loosing weight), and have had foot pain (tendonitis/ plantar fasciitis) most of the time, which has made it so I can't exercise like I'd like to!! And I've still been able to do this!!!

Great job! You look great! I have PCOS, which means I too have a slower metabolim and when I started out I also had plantar fasciitis, so I understand that too. I started out by swimming because it was the only thing I could do with my foot. But swimming didn't do a thing for the weightloss, and I gave it a year and a half. (slow learner or dedicated swimmer?) I switched to the ellipitcal. One day I decided to do the glute phase on the ellipitical which worked the glutes and the calf REALLY hard. From that day on, my feet are fine. I don't know if that's what did it, but I highly recommend strengthening the calf, just in case. I had it for 3 years!! I tried to the stretching and the night-boot and nothing worked. Then all of the sudden, I a new woman! It is amazing to be able to get up and walk across the room to get a glass of water without dread!!
Good luck! |

Hey! Glad to see you're losing! Even with the obsticles in your life; metabolism, tendonitis.
I read some of your journal. I can really relate to that kind of stuff. Money! Messing with the soc. security! My mom being a caregiver! Dealing with it all. It's difficult.
But you're doin' well with the diet. Keep it up! |

Thanks ladies!!!
Hopefully I will be able to take some pictures soon and post them in a couple months (I use disposable cameras, so I have to use all the film before I get them developed),... but, come to think of it, I have a convention/ trip coming up next month where I'm sure to take a bunch of pictures.
My foot is doing better, although it still hurts. Yesterday, I was able to go for a 30 min walk with it hardly hurting at all!!!!
Slowly and surely, my pants are starting to get looser (and starting to look better!!!!)
NOw, let me tell ya about a dream I had last night--- I have 2 pairs of pants that are 2x's(one of them is the pair of pants in the Oct. picture). I HATE them because they are low quality ANd because they're 2x's. I bought them the day before I started to loose weight- I bought them only because they were the only ones I could find that fit that i could afford. There's a black pair and a khaki pair. Well, last night i dreamed that I was putting on the khaki pair, and they just feel off when I stood up, because I had lost so much weight!! I just laugh visualizing it!! Even though they'll never totally fall off (I have hips that would hold them up), I want to fulfill this dream by someday seeing them hanging around my hips!!!
EDITED to add: I forgot to mention that I've lost almost 25 lbs so far. Actually, I'm pretty much at 25 lbs lost, I just have yet to see it on the scale on my official weigh- in day, which is tuesday. When it happens, i will make sure and take a pic (i'm hoping it will be next tuesday!!!
