South Carolina Firm Recalls Chicken Breast Strips For Possible Listeria Contamination
Carolina Culinary Foods, a West Columbia, S.C., firm, is voluntarily recalling approximately 52,650 pounds of fully cooked chicken breast strips that may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
Carolina Culinary Foods is voluntarily recalling Oscar Mayer/Louis Rich brand chicken breast strips, which may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes, according to testing conducted by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. |

I like to cook for one thing and chicken is usually pretty fast, plus I'm so used to MOST packaged items being high in sodium, I don't even look at the labels anymore. I just don't buy them. With high bp I just found it easier (and tastier) to cook my own and not worry about it. (Not that the real deal can't be bad at times either). |
