Basically, you stay on whatever diet you wish to be on Monday-Friday, then Saturday and Sunday, you may eat whatever you wish. This is probably really good for those on lower cal diets so that they do not go into starvation mode. The tricks to this one though are: 1. Eat what you want as long as it is not something that tends to trigger binges in you.
2. When Monday rolls around you are back on your program. I think from what I remember it was something like 2000 daily calories on top of what you had been eating during the weekdays. I never tried it b/c to be honest, I was afraid that come Monday I would not want to get back on program.
I found some articles in the past that talk about this diet. I will see if I can hunt them up and post them for you. |

I was thinking the same thing.
Heck, I've been on this diet about a thousand times - I just never knew it had a name!
On the surface, it sounds like something I could do, but it doesn't sound like a healthy way to live.
I want a lifestyle change, not 5/7 days of total deprivation only to undo most if not all of it over a weekend. |

| well, I do count my calories during the week. and believe me I am not starving at all, so its not bad at all...I am somewhat good during the weekend, too with only a few cheats. I actually enjoy the challange and the fact that I love making list is also a plus. I use to do weight watchers and I never figured out how many calories I was consuming. You can eat this way if you want to maintain. My ultimate goal is to lose what I want and to live on cheaters diet forever!. Sounds like a great plan to me. |
