My upper abs and whole abs bloats whenever I have full meals or drink bottles of water. Also I cannot digest greens, becoz , the next day mornign I get greenish poop.
I also have mild constipation (only the stool is harder , but I go regularly every day morning)
My doc said , not to take fiber supplements , as it may cause more BLOATING and gas and flatulence. Also she ruled out the possibility of colon cleanse becoz of stimulants in it and am anyway going regularly.
Also did not want me to take any stool softeners as they would lead to diarhoeaa.
She suggested me to take Fish oil capsules for one month and then if things don't improve , she asked me to meet a gastroentrologist to isolate and diagnose the same.
Now if I cannot take fiber , how do i meet the SBD recommendation of fibers . Any one please experience like this? any help in reducing the bloating will be very helpful |

| You stated in your post that your Dr. said to not take fiber SUPPLEMENTS, did she say to stay away from fiber foods? |

I think fiber (not necessarily supplements) is needed to help flush toxins through our body. It pulls toxins and other junk out of our bloodstream before they settle in our fat cells. Something like that anyway?

You might try digestive enzymes.
When I get the bloated feeling it's generally because I ate something my body has trouble digesting and the enzymes really help (I get them at a nutrition center, may be available other more generally). |

I've never been "regular" (sometimes I went a couple of days without going), but when I went on SB, I started getting constipated big time. At the same time I also went on blood pressure and cholestorol meds (although none of the literature suggested constipation). I was eating veggies and at least 1/2 c of black beans or chickpeas a day, exercising and drinking plenty of water (fiber, exercise and water are all ways to get rid of constipation). When I went to see my Dr. for a two week check-in, she thought that might be normal as my sugar levels were decreasing, saying that it was my body getting rid of the glycogen stores.
She suggested that I start eating two servings of Dannon Activia a day. I had just started eating one, so I upped it. Finally, I'm going every day. BTW, she mentioned that you could get it fairly inexpensive at Costco or Sam's, so my husband picked some up. Unfortunately, it's the regular Activia. There is a fat free Activia with much lower sugars, so I prefer that (I don't think my Dr. knew this, or she would have insisted I take that). Only one local store seems to be carrying it. |

My dear, if you eat a lot of veggies, of cos your poops are gonna be green. this is very normal.
I suffered the same thing as u did since I have been on this diet, it is because your body is not creating enough enzemys to digest or break down those food =) try to experience another type of vegetable which wont cause as much gas and go from there =)
good luck
Beans are also a good way to add fiber plus wheat (but you gotta see if you get bloated with beans and wheat as well first)
or you can add soya products such as chinese real soya milk which is only made with soya beans with no other ingrdients (i get the one with low fat and no sugar added) and tofu, it does contain a lil fiber plus a lot of protein =) |
