I noticed that there are ads on this web-site for the BestLife diet. Has anyone tried it and what did you think of it?. I am not sure if it is low-carb or not. Is it pretty similar to SB?. I know that Bob Greene has a slower approach to weight loss and he stresses exercise along with the diet changes. Please let me know just in case my Doc doesn't give me the green light for the SB. I just want to do what's best for me and my health issues. I would appreciate any suggestions or knowledge on this.
Thanks again,

Raelyn

He lets you drink slimfast on his diet which is full of sugar so no it is definitely not low carb. Many parts of his diet are healthy (I saw it on Oprah) but it is nothing new. Eat whole foods, move more, drink water and he even adds in MANY processed foods that he is probably making a lot of money off by promoting I bet he would not tell you to eat if it was not for the money. Just another diet.
South Beach works and if your doctor is not comfortable with Phase 1 then just start with Phase 2. It is healthier (it seems to me) than Bob Greene's latest diet. Bob Greene will change it again as time goes on depending on where society is at that point and where the money lies. Just my opinion on this.

I wouldn't worry about your doc not approving SB. Not only did mine approve (as long as P1 is ONLY 2 weeks) but her husband is on it!
