maybe i'm the crazy one, but i actually was not surprised at all with melinda being voted off. sure, she's good, but as far as AI goes, i didn't think she'd win it. blake always brings something interesting IMO and is entertaining. i guess there are plenty others out there who like blake and jordin best.

As I told my husband, Melinda and Jordin can sing...but Blake is the entertainer. I think Jordin deserves it at this point, but we'll see how it ends up.
Out of the group from last year, the only one I loved was Chris (and still enjoy listening to him). Personal preference.

| I had Apollo for Dancing with the Stars. Got 5 votes in for him. Wanted Yau-man to win Survivor :( and keeping my fingers crossed for Jordin tonight. |

I really enjoyed American Idol tonight...most of it anyway.
FYI to West Coasters...it doesn't end right at 2 hours (at least it didn't here)...so be prepared to watch an extra few minutes...especially if you are taping it.

| It ran 10 extra minutes. I was taping AI in one room and Lost in another so after 4 minutes after 9 I go in and turn on the tv with AI so I can rewind the tape and start watching and what do I see? The show is still on and they had just told Jordin she had won. Drats. |

I can't beleive Kelly Clarkson agrred to be on there. DId you notice she wouldn't give Carrie the time of day when they were standing next to each other and she would give Ruben a hug and not Carrie???
I thought it was a great finale. I thought it funny about Sanjaya's performance.
I think they should always have the past winners be on the finale. |

no big surprise! she's talented and gorgeous - good for her. will be interesting to see where she's at in 10 years as she matures.
anybody completely unimpressed with kelly clarkson? i thought her vocals on that new song of hers were REALLY rough ... and boy has she gained a lot of weight again. |

I thought I might be the only one who thought Kelly Clarkson was not that good last night. Now granted that is not my kind of music but I can tell when someone is off key. And that dark hair needs to go.
And they can do away with those stupid awards. Personally I thought that by doing that they were making fun of them.
Why did it have to run over? Cut some of that crap out. My dd was Tivo'ing it and it stopped recording at 9. I am sure that ABC got a lot of phone calls over that one. |

| I also like the show .I thought that lady in yellow was just to Funny ,not making fun of her just think she's a free and easy type person that would laugh along w/ you . kelly was really not to good but I never cared for her singing any way. will see whats in store for us next season. |

| I like the song Never Again but she just didn't have that charisma about her. She totally lost her innocense. Carrie has it and I don't like country music but I do like her stuff. Have you guys heard Elliot's song?? He's got an amazing voice on the radio. |
