It's a marketing gimmick.
They have you do two meals as either two cereal bowls or a cereal bowl and bar and the other meal being a real meal.
But the kicker is that the "snacks" are basically supposed to be all fruits and veggies.
So really, the core of the diet is:
- veggies
- fruit
- low fat milk
- a bowl of moderately healthy cereal
So far so good. Looking kinda beachy in fact.
Then supplemented by:
- often a "bar" (not so good)
Then (yikes!)
- a "third meal as you 'normally' do"
Yikes again. What the heck does that mean?
I wonder what some put interpret that to mean? The daily binge?
While I suppose one could lose some weight on this diet, I think one could do a lot better nutritional, with a lot more variety, at a lot lower cost, with a lot more flavor. |

| The "just cereal" meals would be the worst part-- high GI and not much food or calories. Replace them with something balanced and adequate like real food, and then it'd be better. But then it wouldn't have Kellogg's stamped on the box anymore, and that wouldn't be very good marketing! |
