Just wanted to share my good news...I am down 35 pounds since starting SB on 9/25...8 lbs to go! (well that may change when I get to goal...I may decide for another 5 pounds before I start maintaining)

my rules for success on SB:
I have stayed on plan 98-99%.
I cook 99% of our meals at home so I know how they are prepared.
I cooked a variety of meals to keep it interesting!
I eat a ton of homemade soups and chili.
I gave up drinking 10-12 reg. cokes a day...now have one coke zero and the rest water and crystal light.
I keep a journal at home of all the food I eat per day.
I weigh myself regulary, but only write down Mondays weight for the week.
I read and post in this forum daily (thank you all for the great info, opinions, etc...I wouldn't be this far without all of you!)

Reasons to stay on plan
I have finally found a healthy way of eating, that I like...and my body is loving me for it!
I can lose weight and be healthy without having to count points, weigh or measure...and never be hungry...this is what amazes me!
I have tried every diet and even made lifetime member of WW...but had to starve or felt like I was to do it! I also had a very hard time maintaining for any length of time because my points were so low...and I was hungry!
I feel so good, no aches, pains etc.
I have a ton of energy..no need for a nap in the afternoon or feel like I need a nap!
I sleep much better other than having to get up during the night to use the bathroom!
I do not miss all the junk and fast food I use to consume in a day.
(even though it's expensive to cook/eat healthy...I believe I have saved a lot of money by not buying all the food/junk for at home plus all the money spent in restauants)
my husband is also on SB and needs to lose 50 pounds more (he has lost 40 so far!)
My teenage sons are also making healthy choices and eating much of the same foods I prepare.
I can finally fit into single digit clothing....YIPEE!

I'm sure there are many more things I could add to the list...I just wanted to share some of the things that have contributed to my success! One thing that has not contributed to my weight loss is exercise....bad me, but that is going to change...our family x-mas present this year is a membership to the Y.

If anyone would like to PM me to get further info or to chat...that would be fine. Thanks for reading!

I have to say, cutting out the 10-12 regular Cokes is a HUGE contributor to your great success. That's like +1500 empty calories per day. Good work!

Thanks KennyD...you are right that is a lot of empty calories I drank per day, not to mention all the fat and junk I ate. It feels so good to not be addicted to it anymore!
