I'll be turning 17 in january and I've always struggled with my weight. The past summer (2006) I decided that there needed to be some change. So i started on south beach.. In the beginning i weighed 197.. many people find it hard to believe that I weighed that much because thankfully Im extremely tall ( 5 foot 8 inch) and it didn't seat too heavily on me.. while atleast thats what others felt.. So I dieted during the summer starting mid july about a month and a half and have maintained a weight of 173 by eating organic and low fat verisons of common foods and starting tomorrow I'm going back to a strict diet (phase 1) to trim down for christmas and my birthday.. this time I'm going to add to the dieting by running on my treadmil and weight training at home in my gym. I run on the treadmill usually 3 to 4 times a week but im hoping that added it with my dieting and doing it everyday I'll have the opportunity to enhance my results. I also found out a few weeks ago that I'll be getting my braces off before my birthday and possibly before christmas which will basically make me into a whole new me lol


my goals are:
Started at- 197
Restart Currently (nov. 18 ) - 173
I would love to just get to 149 for christmas.
I haven't been in the 140s in years :D
My final goal is to be 135 by june
I realize my last few pounds will be the hardest but im more than determined.

Welcome to the beach :) But just for a word of advice..dont put expectation on when you should have lost X amount by when. It will discourage you. Red says best (mod around here) Weight loss isnt predictable. And you cant compare yourself to someones else. (meaning well this person lost this amount by the date) b/c we are all different.
