| Hey, it's in Promote Other Site, not General Chat and isn't pornographic, drug related, or mortgage related, and she looks like she wants to be a regular poster instead of the one hit wonders that normally leave their "calling cards". Could be a lot worse! ;) |

I have noticed things get a bit nasty in here after reading through some threads.
I am starting southbeach shortly, and need all the help I can get. I have a sideline business, and thought I would give it a free plug. I didn't know I was doing the wrong thing!! |

| If this had been your only post, I would have deleted it. I poked around and saw some "regular" type posts in other forums. This is exactly what this forum is designed for. It allows members to post links to their other web businesses or just post links to commercial sites they just think have stuff that is so great, everyone should know about them! But post it in any of the other forums and I'll still likely delete it! ;) We allow discreetly placed links in signature areas too. If we feel folks are crossing the line between self-promotion and general board membership, we'll PM them and discuss it with them too. We've had a few of those who nominally "participate" but it is obvious they are really here simply to promote themselves and their businesses. You did fine really. We get a fair amount of real SPAM here that the mods have to clean up so folks are kind of sensitive to it. I pretty much think anything anyone posts in response to those posts is fair game until I get a chance to come along and delete it all anyway! ;) So surely you can at least appreciate that folks responding to what the perceive as "attacks" against their community are not necessarily being "nasty", but just taking a shot back at the anonymous idiots who regularly SPAM us for real. |
