Starting over, can't believe I wasted all that work
By the way, there was ping pong ball in my cup, don't ask.

Thanks so much for the nice words. I was hoping my hubby would go on a diet with me too, but not yet. He does tell me he is proud of my efforts (not smoking, drinking, sticking to the diet).
MMM MMM beer. |

| Wow - you quit smoking too? I did myself a few years ago and it was one of the hardest yet best things I have done for myself. Stay strong - you can do it! |

YES I quit smoking 6 weeks ago. I could say it over and over.
I quit smoking.
I QUIT smoking.
I QUIT SMOKING, sometimes I even sing it to the tune of "I like candy".(Do you remember that song from the 80's)
I have smoked for 20 years! and I am only 36.
So this is my big getting healthy push. AND I FEEL GREAT!!!! |

Well then - a really big CONGRATS to you! After 6 weeks you have it in the bag! I think the hardest, at least for me, was the first 3 days and then the first 3 weeks. After that I was pretty good.
WOW - no wonder you feel great! |

Great pic and good luck with getting healthy all the way around!!
How long ago were you on Captiva? Since the hurricane? I always wondered if the Mucky Duck survived! Their trick with the "seat by the window" was one of my fave restaurant innovations! We tended to stay with my in-laws on Sanibel wherever they rented, but the sunsets towards the north end by Captiva were always spectacular!! |

We went to Captiva in beginning of June this year. The Mucky Duck did survive!! That was one of the best nights we had. Great entertainment and food.
The island vegetation is just now starting to fill back in. Still quite a few houses on Captiva that nobody ever came back to re build. I guess a lot of people just up and left.
And the first few days of our vacation, Tropical Storm Alberto was roaring thru. About the time it was passing us was when it was still uncertain as to whether or not it would turn into a hurricane. What a trip! The storm off the beach was amazing/scary at the same time.
I'll tell you another place that was innovative, in the men's bathroom at the Green Lantern, there is a one way mirror. So as you are at the urinal, you are looking out over the bar. (And by the way, my hubby took me in there to show me!!) So anytime someone went in the bathroom I would wave at the mirror!! |

Great pictures!! Maybe I'll post one day...
Congratulations on quitting smoking, and I understand about the hubby thing. My husband works out every day, and keeps saying he needs to cut back on the food. However, he turns a deaf ear to anything I say about SB. |
