I have read articles on how this type of cleansing is good. Mostly it was from sites that sold something to cleanse you. Now I've read a counter article speaking out on some potential dangers and also stating its literally, your money down the toilet :P

Unless you have the worst eating habits in the world (forget no fiber, I'm thinking balls of yarn) and/or a parasitic playground.
Thanks for posting an alternative view. Always good to have both sides :) |

| I have Crohn's Disease and I know more that I would like about the colon. Your body get's rid of toxic waste naturally, if you eat the right things to keep everything moving. I'd say keep your money, and your dignity... |

| Hi, I have just started a blog that gathers tips related to cleanse colon forums and web sites, including colon cleanse home remedies and review colon cleanse products. It would be wonderful if you can drop by to visit cleansecolonblog to check out the latest information about cleansing colon. I hope it helps. Thank you. |

| I didn't even read the previous posts  b/c I've read a lot of posts on this stuff before. I wouldn't recommend it. My sister-in-law did it (with the intentions of losing a few pounds which she didn't) and it caused a lot of problems for her... lots of really bad pain after the fact and all. I would recommend just doing an herbal cleansing or psyllium - they basically do the same thing - it just takes longer (but safer - I've been told by a doctor that if you have certain problems colonics can be very dangerous - my DH would not be a good candidate for instance). |

My husband has a friend at work who is trying to get him to do Master Cleanse together with him.
"C'mon, Man! You'll feel better than you ever have in your LIFE! Dude! You'll love it so much you won't want to stop!"
Hmmm, love starving yourself for ten days so much you won't want to stop...... Nope. Can't see my man doing that. Not a chance in Hell, really. |

| I was just reading some information on this topic. I have heard things on and off and after doing so much reading and talking to people. I just don't see how this can be a good thing.... |

My sister does these types of cleanses where you do nothing but eat fruit for so many days. I don't think I could survive!!

| I read Kevins book and he suggests doing colonics, so I did at least 12 in 1 month, added juicing to my diet, and I lost 18 lbs. The thing about colonics is that it gently flushes warm water into the colon and basically soaks any harded matter, so that it can come out. They also help hydrate your body. I used to try adding more fiber to my diet or try colon cleanses with fiber and it basically just added more bulk to my colon. It made things worse. Now I am fine adding the fiber. So, I would recommend colonics to anyone who feels tired, stuffed and bloated. I plan on doing several more, maybe with the changing of the seasons. I have done research and would suggest an I-ACT Therapist. (International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy) :D |
