Yes, I finished it! No, I didn't break any records. My goal was to just finish this race, I have not run it since my last knee surgery - 3 years ago. My sister so kindly registered me to do the race with her - she runs a 7 minute mile pace on her daily runs. Thanks sis.... well she stayed with me for the first 2 miles and would of stayed with me the whole time but I told her to go ahead. I finally told her I needed to slow down and I wasn't going to slow down with her around. Soooooo - she took off and finished in 46 minutes (she probably would have finished in 35 if it wasn't for me dragging her down the first 2 miles). I finished in 56 minutes - 11.2 mile pace - man that is like walking pace - must be those short legs I have - sooooo slow, but I finished and now I have a time to beat for next year.

I made chocolate covered strawberries last night and that was my treat after the race - yummmm!

Weighed myself this morning - can't stay off that scale - I was down to 134 lbs.

Go, Connie, go!!!!

That is such a great accomplishment - especially after knee surgery 3 years ago.

Don't focus on the time - YOU FINISHED A RACE! Congratulations!!

Thanks Alli - I had fun too! The best part was crossing the finish line - since not many were coming in at that point they announce each person that crosses. On a loud speaker I hear them say crossing now is Constance Roy age 43 from Dover, NH. Great - now everyone knows how old I am and I never use Constance but that was how my sister registered me. It was pretty funny! Next year I will keep up with that little stinker. Maybe I will even beat her.
