While I was on P1 I went to an all you cat eat buffet with a friend. I was wondering if I could just eat salad and bypass all my favorites - pasta, rice, dessert. My friend was not dieting so he could eat EVERYTHING (and believe me, he did!) I thought this would be a true test of my will power.

Well, thank god it was a decent buffet. I had carved roast turkey breast, all kinds of stirfried veggies, grilled fresh fish and cold seafood salad with shrimp and mussels. Oh and I never even looked at the green salad! I had no craving for the dessert bar, even though my friend had SEVEN different desserts right in front of me. It was so good I went back once more in P1 and continued to lose weight.

Just goes to show that it's possible to do this diet anywhere. Just choose carefully and enjoy!

We had lunch out yesterday. My mother in law came to town and wanted to eat out. I was a little worried before we went. I had green beans, carrots, baked salmon, and a small salad. I was totally surprised that I left all the other food alone. They brought a basket of fresh hot rolls to the table, and I didn't get one (shocker). Then, no dessert.

This SBD really does work. It keeps the cravings for the bad carbs either low or completely gone.

I live in Las Vegas where there is a buffet on every corner, it seems, and I find they are the easiest to eat at and stick to SB. You can always find a turkey breast or roast chicken and lots of veggies. We are both on South Beach and we go out often and have not felt like we missed out on anything. The only things that tempt me are the big juicy slices of watermellon on the salad bar, but so far I haven't given in.
