Hi all!

I'm on day 10 of Phase 1. I got my tongue pierced today  and can only eat soft and semi-soft foods for about a week. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thanks for all your help in advance!

I would try sugar free jello or sugar free pudding... the cold might even soothe your tongue. I had my tongue pierced *twice* and know the soreness/tenderness involved.

As far as actual food, try mashed cauliflower, if you like it (surprisingly good in my opinion). Scrambled eggs should work well, too. Minimal chewing involved.

I would take twisted's advice. I had my tounge peirce about three years ago. I can't remember how sore it was but I do remember that I was back to eating regularly (which was not good back then) within the next 2 days, so that's good.

That's weird, I have mine pierced and I didn't have to do that. Actually I was always told that chewing stuff is good when you first get it done because it works it instead of babying it and just letting ur tongue sit there (helps swelling). But yeah...if that's what you were told to do, do it... :) As for what...as they said.

Oh and you may want to pick up some ibuprofen...I sure needed it for pain and swelling. Although alot of ppl said theirs never hurt. I have a thicker tongue lol
