There are ways to eat chinese style foods. #1 is to cook it yourself! Stir fry some chicken, veggies, soy sauce, & sesame oil. Yummy.
If you're eating out, go to someplace that has Mongolian BBQ. They cook it right in front of you, so you know exactly what is in the food. No rice or noodles though. Many chinese restaurants don't cook the food until you order, so you can ask them to prepare your dish without sugar, MSG or the "foods to avoid".
Go for Kung Pao or those dishes that aren't sweet or deep fried. No egg rolls, crab/cheese wontons, or ribs.
Hope this helps you some. |

| What about egg foo young? It looks like the ingredients of that dish would be on the diet - eggs, onions, oil and shrimp or whatever you choose to put in it. Would just eating the inside of an eggroll be okay? |
