reintroducing grains, fruit

I'm going to start reintroducing grains and fruit into my diet. What would be a good way to start doing this? Having a good cereal for breakfast every day, 1x/wk, 2x/wk?? Then having some kind of grain for supper. Or just adding a grain once a day for only one meal?? Do you see where I'm going with this?

Was just wondering what the recommendations on this would be. Thanx a bunch.

Below is from a post done in 2003 from a member of SouthBeachDiet.com I read it as saying that we add in 1 grain and 1 fruit a day and slowly increase to 2 to 3 (but how fast you introduce it depends how your body handles it). I did not give you the "choices" from "See Choices" because they have changed since this was posted. Additionally, it says 1 "serving". I am using the Good Carbs Bad Carbs book as a way to figure out a serving size. I just started P2 yesterday and I'm trying to figure out what works for me. GOOD LUCK!

Thanx for the help. Now I don't have to keep wondering.

Hmmm, I wonder what you would classify beans as? I know they are both protein/carbohydrate, but should I consider them as just a protein source?

For example I made a fake egg salad concoction for lunch..with chickpeas, and then, for supper I had some kind of bean/lentil soup. Too many beans for one day you think? I just love beans.

I like to have, for breakfast sometimes, a 6 bean blend from a can, mixed with salsa, sprinkled with ground flaxseed, nutritional yeast, and a little bit of ground nuts (sesame seeds, sunflower, almond, walnut). Then I can easily have for supper some kind of dish made with some other bean.
