| A friend was telling me about this book and loaned me her copy to read. It's actually pretty interesting, I have to agree with some items about my blood type, for instance I cannot eat dairy period, it is horrible for my digestion. For my blood type, it would have me pretty much doing the SB diet, but just no grains and more fruit. Has anyone else tried or heard of this diet? |

ces,
I have heard of this. What is your blood type? |

FWIW, I'm just leery of any program that would eliminate an entire major food source such as whole grains which are quite beneficial to us in terms of overall health. I do understand that some people tend to be more sensitive to grains in their diet and maybe you might need to shift the percentages in favor of fruits over grains, but I also think you can use P2 to experiment and figure these things out for your own situation over time. It may have some relationship to blood type, but I personally tend to doubt it. But I haven't read the book either.
BTW, Here are a few links to some earlier threads here about the value of including grains in your diet. (first and third are a bit redundant I think in some spots.)

| I have both books. It's a very nutritious way of eating but since I'm a blood type A there is no way in hell I can eat that kind of crap. I hate tofu and I don't like that kind of bread. Not only that but I think it's all hype. Theres no way you can stick to that woe. |

I've heard about this diet. I was going to buy the book, then thought I might get it at the library. I'm a B+. (B positive!) Are you doing the diet?

I was really contemplating about this one..
I'm still not quite sure, I'm okay with giving up meat, but olives, tomatoes, and eggplants! That'll be hard, as they are my fave vegetables! |

 I have read the book, and if my weight will stall somewhere along the line, I will peak at this book's guidelines! There is admittedly something to the idea. I just don't think that it is so easy. There are many foods that I wonder about - can I or can't I have them. It is not as logic and streight forward as SBD.
Good luck to you all! |
