Saturated Fat

How much saturated fat is acceptable? I noticed that on the cheeses even the low fat cheeses have atleast 3 gms of saturated fat...also ive seen some recipes in the book that had like 18-20 gms saturated fat, I don't understand..I thought saturated fat was bad...please someone help

Dr. Agatston never really says how much saturated fat is ok, and how much is bad. The general rule is the percentage of saturated fat in any given food should not be higher than 30% of the total fat.

Thanks Geoff, by the way sorry everyone for not introducing myself...My names Spencer and I'm a...oh sorry wrong support group :wink: This is my 1st post after a couple weeks of just reading the board (very awesome board by the way) and my 1st week on the SBD phase 2, so far so good, except im feinding for a beer, hopefully I'll get past that once I see the poundage melt away. 8)
