Howdy, y'all!! I've been lurking since the day I started my beach adventure, March 22. I've really enjoyed reading all of your posts and have found them to be very beneficial and motivational.
I lost about 10 pounds on Phase 1, which ended this past Sunday. I really wanted to stay on P1 for at least 2 more weeks, but my workouts have suffered (I have a trainer and my strength training during this time has been extremely painful since I haven't had the energy). I just started adding in a bit of fruit this week and am easing up on the exercise until I get my strength back.
I'm a single girl with a full-time job and school schedule so my cooking time is very limited. I thought about checking out good-carb/low-carb frozen meals last night to take to work and have at night when I'm in a time crunch. I was very disappointed to go to the HEB grocery store last night and not find a SINGLE frozen meal I could buy. The "Lean Cuisine" and "Healthy Choice" meals that advertised low carbs were all full of potatoes, rice, and sugar. I found one brand, "Living Well" (I think), that had just meat and veggies but even it had sugar in it. I didn't see any meals by Atkins (I thought they would be there) or other brands that were sugar-free or just generally low-carb/good-carb. Maybe I need to check out other grocery stores. Has anyone had any luck finding frozen meals that are legit on the SBD? |
