:) Thanks Mary, just4kixx and crabby for your replies. Today was my second day on SBD. It is 10:55 p.m. my time so this day is done. Today I had 3 pcs of bacon and a boiled egg for breakfast/ Tuna salad on romane with onyons, tomatos, bean sprouts and salt for lunch/ one slice of beef bologna with low carb peanut butter and a slice of american cheese rolled all together for supper. I had no snacks between meals. How does this sound and is it okay to 'not have the snacks'?

Mary, what is the name of the food guide from walmart.com? Where can I find Dr. Agatstons's other book called good fat good carbs? Is it okay to eat salt? Thanks.

Crabby, I see your point, but it is too difficult for me to start preparing the type meals that are in the SB book. They sound wonderful. I wish I were rich so I could hire a chef to fix them for me. I am a mother of five, who works 6-7 days a week as a house painter. My husband and I run our own business and I do all the office work at night as well as on site work in the day. My youngest is 12 and requires a lot of my attention when I am home. I never have any 'me time' and have never been a big cook. I have raised my family on quick meals that usually come frozen. We are below middle income and struggle just to make it. So what I need to do is figure how to work this diet using simple food plans. Or I just can't do it.

If you have read the SBD book, it specifically states that 2 snacks a day is practically mandatory....in other words, you have to keep your metabolism working. You may not be eating enough and that would slow your metabolism down. I would try and fit in snacks like nuts, cheese string or something. It also states to make sure you eat every 3-4 hours, so the snacks would fill that void for you. This is just my opinion. Good luck.
