So here i am... back again... for like i dunno how many times now. and slowly ive gained the weight not lost it.

south beach. i think would be great if i could still to it but with my having the willpower of lets say a chocolate bar.. haha. i have enough willpower to eat them .. anyways back to the point. yeah south beach i cant stick to it. had about 5 attempts and failed. so sick of trying to stick to diets. i gave up on the idea of dieting for a while and thought that i wouldnt gain any weight well i was wrong. so i tried weight watchers for 4 weeks and gained 4 lbs not a good sign really.

so yet again losin track there back to my point. calorie controlled diets? anyone ever tried them . i had a friend lose 77lbs on it. and i thought now i would give it ago. already seeing results and not feeling like theres stuff i cant have,

would like everyones views on it. thats if you lot have any. maybe tips to help me out and things.

As long as you continue to view each of these programs as "diets" that are something you "do", you are likely going to continue to jump from one plan to another. When you decide you are going to make a fundamental lifestyle change and commit to it a 100% then you may be able to break that cycle. Good luck! It is a very hard thing to accomplish, but IMO worth the effort.

And small amounts of dark chocolate are fine on SB. I eat it regularly in moderation and have no problem maintaining my weight when I view it as part of larger balanced approach to eating and exercising.

your committment to achieving your goals has to be stronger than your desire to satisfy your desires to eat poorly. without that, you're kind of doomed to fail.

i think it can be really important with any diet to at least sometimes check your calorie intake. its easy to get an improper balance or even too few calories when you're dieting, which can really affect your metabolism and cause you to gain weight when you are "off" the diet or less strict. south beach diet is a great guideline to what foods are good for you, but the right mindset and a good balance of the right foods (and calories) will do the best for you.

Never had weight issues until about 4 years go. Now weight is impossible to get off.
I tried WW, Atkins, JC, starvation and now SB. I can't get the scale below 150 (I am normally 125-say 135 tops).
I need a new way of life I am realizing. I noticed that "bad" carbs are a big problem for me.
In regular life - I try not to eat pasta, potatos, white bread - all my favorites (too often). I have brought more fiber and lean proteins into my diet.
I am not considering this a diet - it's like a better daily regime.
Try not to focus on what you can't eat but what you can. If you want a candy bar once in a while have one. Life's too short to not have a few pleasures. On a regular basis, though, focus on being good to your body!
