I just finished my second week of Phase I and have lost 11 lbs. Yay!
My co-workers are noticing a big difference and I've gone down a pant size! (I think my weight loss is more significant in inches than in poundage.) More rejoicing!!
I am going to continue to stay on Phase I until May 15, which is my brothers wedding (I have to stand in front of everyone wearing one of those bridesmaid dresses).
Anyway, I have been noticing a big change in my shape and have a question for anyone who's lost a great deal of weight. What happens to all the extra skin? I am a big - we're talking BIG - girl, and am concerned that once all this weight comes off I'm going to have all this baggy flesh hanging on my frame.
Can anyone tell me what to expect or how to keep the sag to a minimum.
Thanks so much,
L.Marie |

Well i started at 295 and am down under 255 now.. this since Jan 12th... i read that drinking lots of water will help with the elasticity of your skin, and when exercising do some stretches afterward also, helps tighten your skin. once your in phase 2 and only losing 1-3lbs a week it is not comming off so fast that your skin will be all gross and saggy. remember it took us years to put on this weight it won't go away in weeks...
but seriously after losing 40lbs i don't have any loose skin. just loose clothing. |

Thanks, Gudil.
You helped calm some of my concerns. I do desperately want to lose the weight and am happy with my progress so far, but I had these images of looking like a half-deflated baloon when it was all said and done.
Although, it would be nice if it went away overnight!
Congratulations on your progress!

| I have also heard that same thing - that the speed of weight loss is what causes sagging skin. If you lose about 2 pounds a week, you shouldn't have sagging. It's the people who go on liquid fasts or gastro surgery that seem to have the problem with the skin because they are losing huge amounts of weight very fast. |
