| Unless that ice cream had about 2500 calories to result in 3/4 pound of fat gained, I'd say you have nothing to worry about. |

STEVED,
You can weigh yourself within hours of each time and lose or gain weight. For example, for the heck of it this weekend, I weighed myself 3 times in 1 day, and had a difference of 4 lbs. at one point! The important thing to remember is to weigh in at the same time each day , and to use the same scale. DON"T GO CRAZY! Once a week weigh in is what most diet regimens recommend. (Believe me, I've tried them all) |

it's a lifetime/lifestyle diet..
if ya's don't think of it that way,, you's better give up now.. |

| Does zero fat and no sugar mean that this is a safe food? It would certainly make Phase 1 go smoother, that's for sure! Also, what about sugar free candy - is that allowed in Phase 1? |

Sugar free hard candy is allowed on p1, but sugar free chocolate and soft candy isnt.
Just dont go crazy on it, guys.
And I agree. Get off the scale. Long term weight loss isn't a consistently perfect downward motion. It goes up and down, but mostly down. If you're obsessed with your scale, you will go crazy!!
Stop weighing. Start MEASURING!! And do it once a week.
The biggest problem is that, once you start on p2, your weight loss will slow. This is a GOOD THING!! However, if you're obsessed with your scale, you will start panicking and then go back to p1. P1 is NOT the way to live your life!!!!! |

| got to agree with what's been said. i'm a very scale-focused person and i've been trying to curb the habit. i do weigh every day and let me tell you -- even following SBD very strictly and exercising 1hr+ every day -- you can see the scale go up a couple of lbs just from water and how your body is dealing with what you ate the day before. think long range! |

| I would say that the only catch is not to exceed 75 calories of the ff & sf ice cream. Thanks to everyone who reinforces the idea of not counting on the scale. I am not scale obsessed, but counting on the scale discouraged me. I have been measuring and feeling how my clothes fit differently. |
