Hello everyone. It is so great to find a place like this for other South Beachers. I would like to know if anyone knows whats going on, or had experienced something similar. I have been doing the SBD now for 15 days. :D I started out weighing 226 lbs., and during the first two weeks I dropped 16 lbs. Although I have weighed the same, 210, for a week now. The only changes that I can see that I have done, is change to low-fat cheese and I have been skipping breakfast. I haven't been trying to, I've just not been hungry in the mornings and in a rush. I am very grateful to any advise or any comments. Thank you all so much. I want to keep up the progress.

By the way I am going to continue on Phase 1 for another week or so, I would like to get below 200 before moving onto the next phase.

it's possible that your body is recognizing that you've lost a lot of weight in a very short timespan and is slowing your metabolism down accordingly. staying on P1 doesn't insure a bigger weight loss than if you add in some good carbs by moving to P2.

skipping breakfast doesn't help either. you need to trick your body into thinking that calories are plentiful, IMO.

congrats on the loss.

Don’t skip breakfast.
My weight loss slowed drastically after the first 2 weeks. I didn’t lose anything for a few weeks. I added regular exercise to get it going again.
I’d move to ph2 soon and get your metabolism goin’.

Yeah, i have to agree.

Think about it.. you lost 16 lbs in 2 weeks.... that's eight pounds a week. Long term, that's just not a) healthy, b) realistic to maintain, and c) the kind of weight that will stay off.

You need to go to p2. Backing up the quick 16 lb weight loss with slow and steady loss is what's going to keep your body going on its utilization of fat. It's a great mistake many Beachers make to think that the last 20 will come off as easy and as quickly as the first... and it's a HUGE mistake to force your body to do so by staying on p1.

Skipping breakfast is a HUUUUGE NO-NO. You have to trick your body into believing it's getting lots of food. Starving it at a time when your body most needs it (after 8 to 10 hour fast) is exactly the LAST thing you should be doing!!!

LESS IS NOT MORE!! Get on p2, recognize you will be losing 1-2 lbs a week for the rest of the time until you hit p3, and be happier with yourself for living a much healthier lifestyle.

Thank you all so much for your much needed advise. You all make great points and you are right. :P I will now gladly move to p2 and keep progressing but at a slower and healthier rate. Its so nice to have this kind of advise handy. Thank you again!!! :D
