Has anyone heard about this diet? My daughter is on it and has lost 1 1/2 to 2 pounds every week without a minute of hunger.
It was devised by Dr. David L. Katz who has a bunch of degrees after his name and is associate professor of public health, director of the Yale Prevention Research Center, etc.
The general idea is to limit meals to one type of food, either sweet or salty, so the appetite center in your brain stops you from being hungry.
He explains that you can finish a Thanksgiving dinner and be full, but still look for dessert. On this diet, you can't have a sweet after eating savories.
It's complicated, but my daughter said it works. |
