I saw the Bandwidth question; I know other boards which archive the posts past 15 pages, or past 2 mos.... keeps the slow down from occurring.

This is a bit different. I made several posts that didn't go thru. The first time, I clicked to post agian. It got a 4X post.

Same evening, it happened when I did NOT click again to post...but it did the same thing. It was embarrassing...esp. when I was PM'd & asked to delete it by a board memeber (not a moderator).

How can you keep this from occurring?

When the forum is really slow like it seems to have been this week, it is sometimes hard not to get dupes. The best thing you can do is if you notice them before they get replied to, you can delete them yourself using the X button in the upper right corner of the post. Once someone replies to one of your posts, you no longer have this option however. The best thing is if it seems to get "Stuck" or you aren't sure if it went through may be to highlight all your text, paste it into Notepad or another text editor so you know you have it if you need it and then try and navigate back to the forum or thread you were trying to post in and see if it is already there. If it isn't, re-post it with what you have already saved. If it is, then throw away the text in notepad.

Patience is the key, but I noticed this week I waited and waited and then got some kind of error message, so I tried it several more times thinking it hadn't gone through and then it did. Then I had to wait like 5 minutes after clicking the X to get through the delete confimation window and actually delete it. It took me like 20 minutes to get through it all. It really sucked!!
