You can absolutely have nuts in p1. The amounts are in the book. Just watch your portions, since the extra fat and calories can be a diet buster if you go overboard.

There's a great peanut butter out. It's either called Carb Options or Carb Solutions. Can't look at the jar as I left it at work. Anyways, it's made by Skippy and only has 3 carbs per serving. It tastes really great!!!

I had nuts and peanut butter every day in ph1 and lost 10 lbs. I didn’t count it as my nut serving.

O.K. I'm confused. :? I finally went out and bought the book today and under phase one foods to enjoy it lists "peanut butter, 1 tsp". Where in the book does it say you can have 2 tbsp? I have seen the 2 tbsp reference quite a few times on this forum.

Thanks!

BTW, I also bought the companion guide and it lists 1 tbsp. Am I the only one confused by these books?

The God Fats Good Carbs Guide does say 1 tbs. The SBD book says 1 tsp. for P1, 2 tbs. P2. I agree, which one are we to believe? I think it is a conspiracy........or just poor editor. I was ranting and raving about the editor weeks ago, and you all said to buy the guide. So, I did, and find that confusing in regards to quantities and allowable foods. You just can't win for trying...

I've heard alot of debating over peanut butter actually lol
From what I've read (and I've read alot of updated stuff--since several things have been changed since the book)..I believe you are allowed 1Tbsp of peanut butter OR 2Tbsp of natural peanut butter per day (make sure there is no sugar added). Watch your intake on nuts as well. They are a good fat, but still high in fat/calories none the less, so moderation is required! Don't have something like peanut butter AND nuts for a snack, ya know?
