I workout at home. I have a lot of various dvd's, free weights, and workout with some of the show on FitTV. I like to take various classes at the gym, but can't fit it into my schedule.
It is not in my budget for a gym right now(too much money to not be able to work within the hours that they are open), but I love the weight machines much better than free weights.
So, home works, early in the morning before kids get up and at nap time. |

| I work out mostly at home. I have a treadmill and recumbant bike for cardio, bowflex, powerblocks, weight bench, stability ball, and the FIRM power step thingy along with DVD's. Our garage is our gym, so everything is right there. I'm interested in a really good rowing machine. My best friends' kids are in crew, so I know that working out on them is killer. Half the time they throw-up during practice...don't think I'd push myself quite that hard. |

You mentioned you have a bowflex. I do too and I remember that you can do rowing on it--with the sliding seat. I haven't done it, but that's something you could look into. |

What I'm thinking about is the electronic kind with time/distance/level? stuff on it. There is alot about form and timing and breathing in real rowing. It's too easy for me to "think" I'm doing well, when really I'm just puttering along. I need measurements to keep me honest. Thanks for the input though! |
