I know I'm showing my spots as a Message Board Newbie, but how do you add a link to your journal to your signature?
Any advice is welcome. :D

If you don't want the text to appear you need to get rid of all the spaces in the character string. The ones that are most visible are around the = sign. Also if you want to make text clickable with the link embedded within the text, use this syntax.
[url=http://URL of the link to your journal here]Text you want displayed / clickable here[/url] |

you have too many "http"'s at the beginning and you don't need anything after the post number, 68386 in your case. It's not a valid URL
Here is the text of the URL that you have embedded.
http://http//http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68386&start=45
You just need:
http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68386
So the text you need in your signature block would look like this:
[url=http://www.southbeach-diet-plan.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=68386]My Journal[/url]
I've turned off BBcode in my post so you can see the text instead of having it appear as a link. |

Well, I guess I'm not the hot dog I thought I was. I typed exactly what you printed, Redroxco, in my signature (first hit profile); all that appeared was what I'd typed in my signature. Duh. Can you make it even plainer for this helpless femme?

Love the quote by Laurel Thatcher Ulrich too. Wife used to have that on a bumper sticker on her old car.
Anyway, you just have the URL so far. Although there is more text that should surround it you can get the ticker to display by adding the image tags before and after it. Put [img] before it and [/img] after it with no spaces anywhere and that should work.
The full text probably looked something like this:
[url=http://www.tickercentral.com/][img]http://www.tickercentral.com/view/71ab/1.png[/img][/url]
You should be able to copy and paste that in and replace what you currently have or edit it to match. |
